The NHS have developed an app for Android and IOS that will allow you to:

  • book and manage appointments
  • check symptoms
  • review your medical record
  • order repeat prescriptions.

If you have not previously signed up for online services, you can sign up on the NHS App without contacting the Surgery.

Please note the NHS App currently can only be accessed via smartphone or tablet.

 

Step 1

First off locate the Google Play Store or the App Store then find the NHS app and then click install

Once you have installed the NHS app, locate it then click onto it to open the app.

 

Step 2

Once you have clicked on the app you will be presented with this when you first load up the app.

To sign in or create and account please click the “Log in or create an account” button.

 

Step 3

Once you have clicked “Log in or create an account” you will be presented with this page here.

If you have an NHS account please tick the box that is says “Yes” then click continue, then sign in using your email address and your password.

If you do not have a NHS account please tick the circle that says “No – I need to set one up”.

 

Step 4

To Create a NHS account you will need to enter your email address in the top box, then create a password which must contain 8 letters or numbers and at least one capital letter.

Once you have come up with a password then confirm it by writing the password again within the confirm password box, then click the “Agree and continue” button to finish off making your account.

 

Step 5

Once you have made an account with your email and password, this page will open up asking you to confirm your email address.

You can do this by going into your email with the email address you used to make the account and find the email from: noreply@login.nhs.uk and then click the button that says “Confirm your email address.

 

Step 6

Once you have confirm the account it will bring you to this page here saying you have successfully made an NHS account, now sign in to the app.

 

Step 7

Once you are back onto the NHS app and have signed in, it will tell you to enter in your phone number to send a code to secure the account.

 

Step 8

Once you have put your phone number in then click the button that says “Continue”, you will get a text message with a six digit code that will have to be put within the box on this page here.

 

Step 9

The Next step is connect your GP surgery to your NHS App account.

You will need:

  • A Linkage key( Also can be called a Passphrase)
  • O.D.S code (Organisation Code or Practice I.D.)
  • Account I.D.

If you don’t have any of these you will need to tick the circle that says contact another way.

 

Step 10

If you clicked the circle that says “I Don’t have any of these” and then clicked continue it’ll bring you to this page here where you will need to find your NHS Record and take a photo of your Passport or Driving Licence and then record a short video so that they can match your photo ID

 

Step 11

After you clicked the “Start” Button it will ask you if you know your NHS Number or not.

If you don’t know your NHS Number then you will have to tick the Circle with “No” next to it then click on the “Continue” button.

 

Step 12

Once you have clicked the button it will have you write out your First, Middle and Last name to search for your account.

 

Step 13

Once you have entered your name you will have to enter in your Date of Birth to continue.

 

Step 14

After you have entered your Date of Birth you will then have to enter your postcode which should be the same as the one that is registered with your GP.

 

Step 15

Once you have found your NHS records you will need to take a photo of your ID.

Step 16

After you have taken a picture of your photo ID which can be your passport or driving licence, you will have to record a short video so they can match your face with the photo ID.

This should be the last stage of the registration process.

Once you are registered to use the app, you’ll have access to all of its features.
