Digital Health Devon has been created to show people how to access local health, social care and wellbeing services using the internet.
Some healthcare services like GPs and Hospitals have a ‘digital’ way for you to use their service. This may involve using technology such as computers, tablets or smartphones to use the service via the internet.
Digital Health Devon offers free guidance showing people how they can use the internet to access local health, social care and wellbeing resources such as online consultation services.
All our e-learning resource pages have been made open and free to use without the need to register. Click the button below to browse through our library of tutorials.
We also have fantastic volunteer Digital ‘trainers’ who donate their time to helping local people with their digital queries. This could be via regular weekly online ‘virtual drop in sessions’ using Zoom, social media or even 1-to-1 advice and guidance either over the phone, via email or webchat.

Digital Health Devon is an award-winning partnership of organisations – including charity organisations and the NHS in Devon – which is led by Engaging Communities South West (ECSW), a not for profit organisation who also manage the local independent health & social care community champion Healthwatch Torbay.
This project was born from public feedback received by Healthwatch which expressed a difficulty using online healthcare services. It was initially supported by multiple partners, including Ageing Well Torbay, Big Lottery Fund, European Regional Development Fund, digital experts White Bear, University of Plymouth, NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group and Colebrook.
We aim to support all Devon GP Surgeries with training opportunities for their patients and families, to take advantage of the systems available through our e-learning tool and developing a network of trainers, and volunteers to extend our reach and supporting our experienced digital staff in place. If you would like to get involved in your local area, please get in touch.
