How to register for Patients Know Best (PKB)

Patients Know Best (PKB) is a system that allows you and the people supporting your care to share information about your care. It also means you can communicate securely with those involved in your care. You can access it on your computer, smartphone, tablet or any device that has an internet connection.

How to register 

You will need to register as a new user (or affiliate your account with this team if you are an existing user) to be able to use this service. A how-to video guide showing exactly how to do this is available above, using Torbay as an example.

Registration process

Step 1

Open your browser, type ‘Torbay Physio’ in the search bar and then click on ‘Physiotherapy appointment’ at the top of the page.

Step 2

Click on the blue text link that says ‘register as a new user’ in the middle of the page.

Step 3

Click the white ‘Register’ button on the right.

Step 4

Click on the ‘Privacy Policy’ and ‘User Agreement’ to read each, then tick the boxes alongside them and click the ‘Continue’ button.

Step 5

Click on each of the boxes and enter your details, then click the ‘Next’ button. You will need to think of a memorable password at this point too.

Step 6

Patients Know Best will then send you an email you need to read before registering. Type your email provider details (e.g. gmail.com) in the search bar above to sign into your email account and find this email in your inbox. It should look like this:

Click on the long blue text link in the middle to complete your registration.

Step 8

You will then need to choose a security question from the drop down box, and type in your answer in case you forget your password in future and need to sign in. After this, type your memorable password created earlier in the next box and click the ‘Submit’ button.

Step 9

Read the text in the middle of the next screen, then click on the ‘I understand’ button under it when you are ready to.

Step 10

Read the text in the middle of the next screen, then click on the ‘Accept & Continue’ button under it when you are ready to.

You are now registered!
